  • Business name, sector, revenue, and operational information provided in the application form
  • Financial information provided voluntarily in the context of the membership assessment process
  • Device and usage information collected automatically through standard web analytics (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages visited)
🔒

EWC does not collect sensitive personal information (as defined under POPIA) unless you explicitly provide it in the context of a membership application, and only with your informed consent.

2 How We Use Your Information

Your personal information is used exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Processing and reviewing your membership application
  • Communicating with you regarding your application status and next steps
  • Delivering advisory, mentorship, and wealth architecture services to accepted members
  • Maintaining records required for institutional and regulatory compliance
  • Improving our website and service delivery based on aggregated, anonymised usage data

We do not use your personal information for unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or otherwise commercially exploit your data to third parties.

3 EmailJS — Contact Form Processing

EWC's membership application form uses EmailJS, a third-party service that facilitates the secure transmission of form submissions to our advisory team via email. When you complete and submit the application form, your information is transmitted through EmailJS's infrastructure.

ℹ️

About EmailJS: EmailJS does not store the content of your submissions on a permanent basis and is used solely as a transmission mechanism. EWC is the data controller for all information submitted through our application form. For EmailJS's own privacy practices, refer to their published privacy policy at emailjs.com/legal/privacy-policy.

EWC recommends that you do not submit sensitive financial information beyond what is requested in the structured application form fields.

4 Data Sharing & Disclosure

EWC does not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your explicit consent: Certain membership services may involve introducing you to institutional capital partners or authorized financial service providers. This will only occur with your written consent and under applicable confidentiality agreements.
  • Service providers: Third-party services used to operate our website and deliver services (e.g., EmailJS, hosting providers), engaged under strict data processing agreements.
  • Legal obligations: Where required by applicable South African law, court order, or regulatory authority.

EWC maintains a strict internal policy of institutional confidentiality, consistent with the standards applicable to professional advisory engagements.

5 Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as is necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by applicable law. Specifically:

  • Application data for unsuccessful applicants is retained for a maximum of 12 months, after which it is securely deleted.
  • Member data is retained for the duration of the membership relationship and for up to 5 years thereafter, in compliance with financial record-keeping requirements.
  • Web analytics data is retained in anonymised, aggregated form indefinitely for service improvement purposes.

6 Your Rights Under POPIA

EWC implements appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, or disclosure. These include:

  • HTTPS encryption across all website pages
  • Access controls limiting who within EWC can access personal information
  • Secure third-party service providers operating under data processing agreements

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of internet transmission is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that materially affects your rights, EWC will notify you and the Information Regulator as required by POPIA.
